Returns Policy

Our Returns policy complies with the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

We will gladly accept returns within 14 days of the tax invoice, provided it meets the below conditions: 

  1. A copy of your Tax Invoice is made available.
  2. You must notify us via email or via your online account of your intention to exchange an item(s) or request a refund for an item(s) within 14 days of the tax invoice.
  3. All return item(s) must be returned in it’s original condition and in a saleable condition (i.e. unused, unworn, unaltered and unwashed) with the original swing tags still attached.
  4. When trying on the clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing any make up, fragrance, or deodorant that may leave a mark or a stain on the garment to avoid your request for an exchange or refund being denied.
  5. Simply Kate reserves the right to refuse any return item(s), if the return item(s) does not meet the above conditions. Should this occur, we may return the item(s) back to you, at your cost.
  6. If you placed the order using a voucher (either in full or part of the purchase price), a replacement voucher will be issued to you for the same value as the original voucher.
  7. If you choose to exchange the item(s) for another, and the price of new item(s) you choose is less than the returned item(s), then we will credit (excluding any shipping charges paid) the difference against your original method of payment or issue a voucher for that value, depending on the circumstances (see sale purchases). If the price of the new item is greater than the price of the returned item, we can arrange for the difference to be paid using your preferred method payment available.  
  8. You will be responsible for the delivery charges to return the item(s) you wish to exchange to Simply Kate. The delivery charges to post the new exchanged item(s) will be paid by Simply Kate. Please note this only applies to one exchange.  If you are still not happy with it, any delivery charges for further returns and exchanges will be not be covered by Simply Kate. 
  9. If the item you wish to exchange for is not available, we are happy to provide a refund against your original method of payment or voucher to the value of your purchase (less any shipping costs), subject to the below terms regarding sale purchases.
  10. Simply Kate is a provider of quality goods, however, if for any reason you find a fault with one of our products we would like to help you resolve the problem. You can create a new return request for faulty items using our easy online returns system (outlined below). After assessing your request for refund we will gladly offer you a replacement, repair or refund at our discretion. Simply Kate will ensure all costs associated with returned goods, including delivery, is at no expense to you
  11. If we have shipped the incorrect item(s) we will arrange (subject to stock availability) the correct items to be delivered at no expense to you. Postage for the returned item(s) will be refunded to you (please see returns procedure below). If your size is unavailable we will happily offer an exchange, voucher or full refund against your original purchase method.
  12. If the item(s) received is not as described we will happily offer a full refund against your original payment method, including any delivery charges. 
  13. Please note that we do not refund for change of mind purchases, but will offer exchange or voucher subject to our above return policy being met.

Sales Purchases

A “SALE” item is an item where its price is lower than the recommended retail price.  The recommended retail price will be displayed on the product page of that item. 

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds on SALE items for “change of mind” purchase. 

We will happily exchange for another size or style (subject to stock availability) or offer you a voucher (for the value of the returned item) provided the above returns policy is adhered to. 

We will refund or exchange on any item if it is faulty or not as described, irrespective whether the item is on sale or not. 

The Returns Process

If you would like to return an item, please follow the step by step instructions below: 

  1. Please login in to your account via; 
  2. Click on the “Order History and Details” icon; 
  3. Scroll and click on the order that you had purchased the item(s) which you intend to return; 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page “add a message” and select the product that you want to return.  If there is more than one product you wish to return, please select any one of the product and list the other items in the message field box. 
  5. Populate the message field with the following details: 
  • The style number and name of the item (including the size and quantity) you wish to return; 
  • Reason for the Return (i.e. change of mind, don’t fit me, not as described, incorrect item received, faulty)
  • Whether you are requesting a refund or exchange. 
  • If you want an exchange, we strongly recommend you to purchase your preferred item and return any other items to avoid disappointment.  Once we have processed your return and are happy that it complies with our returns policy, we will gladly issue you a refund of the amount by crediting the price of the returned item to your original method of payment.  
  1. Alternatively, if you do not wish to send us the details of your return via your Account, please send an email to, clearly setting out the following details: 
  • Your Full Name & Customer Number (this should indicated on the tax invoice that you received from us when you placed the order);
  • Order Number; 
  • The style number and name of the item (including the size and quantity) you wish to return; 
  • Reason for the Return (i.e. change of mind, don’t fit me, not as described, incorrect item received, faulty)
  • Whether you are requesting a refund or exchange. 
  1. Once we have received your email with the details of the return item(s), we will send you a confirmation email.  Following receipt of our email, please properly package your return items in a secure manner, and ensure you include a copy of your tax invoice for the order (and highlight on the tax invoice the item(s) being returned).  
  2. Mail the package to us using an appropriate means of delivery.
  • Please note Simply Kate does not take responsibility for any lost return parcels.  
  • A suggested method of return delivery is Australia Post prepaid Parcel Satchel service, with optional security features (like signature on delivery and extra cover). If you choose to use this service, please retain the barcode sticker so you can track your return parcel.

  1. Once we receive your return parcel, we will send you an email confirming our receipt.  Please allow up to 10 business days from the date of the email for processing your return.  Once we have processed and approved the return, we will notify you via email and advise on the next steps. If you have not heard from us within 14 days of posting your parcel, please contact us via email.
